Spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) Mr. Saani Daara says the outfit is ready to work with any Minister of Youth and Sports, President elect, Nana Akufo- Addo will select.
Speaking to the media in Accra on Monday, the Spokesperson said, they are hoping the new minister would collaborate effectively with the GFA to develop football in Ghana.
“It was obvious the outgoing Minister of Youth and Sports, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye wanted to disgrace us and was not willing to work with us to promote the game but we hope the next minister would be different,†he stated.
He added that he believes that Nana Addo would select a competent Minister for the sector and sports would strive under his government.
“The President-elect is a sportsman as he played football before and also supports Kumasi Asante Kotoko so I am sure he would help us to develop the game,†he stated.
Mr. Daara also urged all stakeholders in the football fraternity to support any Minister of Youth and Sports that Nana Akufo-Addo would appoint.
