This weekend's Ghana Premier League fixtures are most likely to be postponed due to the accident involving players and officials of Kumasi Asante Kototo.

According to the Chairman of the Ghana League Club Association(GHALCA), Kudjoe Fianoo, a petition has been sent to the Premier League Board(PLB)for the games to be rescheduled.

"We are aware of the situation and recommended to the PLB to see if they would consider rescheduling this weekend's matches because the incident is still fresh in the minds of the sporting fraternity."

The PLB is yet to respond to the petition but he is optimistic that, it would be considered for the games to be postponed to enable them support the team at this crucial time.

The PLB according to its Spokesperson, Tamimu Issah would meet this afternoon to discuss and come out with a decision.

"I believe that, the weekend games might be postponed to allow the Kotoko players to get over the situation,"he told Citi FM.

Kotoko was scheduled to play arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in Ghana's version of the el Classico on Sunday
