The Women’s League Board has announced plans to telecast matches of the upcoming league season.

The 16 club zonal league has enjoyed very little publicity and financial injection since its inception but Ghana Football Association (GFA) 10-year broadcasting deal with Chinese broadcaster, StarTimes has slight enhanced enthusiasm ahead of kick off.

And Vice Chairperson of the Women’s League Board, Rosalind Amoh in an interview with Class FM sports after the launch of the Women’s league says the coverage will bring a huge development to women’s footaball.

“What I know is if StarTimes will telecast our matches, there will be more visibility of our game on screen and that is a good development for us because the clubs will be aware of what is clearly going on and will be force to go by the rules and that will lead to a huge development in our game”.

The league is set to begin on the 29th of April across all league centres.
