The second round of the 2018 Zylofon Cash Premier league (ZCPL)season is set to return in October this year according to a senior source at the Ministry of Youth and Sports who revealed to FootballmadeinGhana.com

The Government in the person of Attorney General Gloria Akuffo placed an injunction on the Zylofon Cash Premier League following following Anas Aremeyaw Anas investigative piece which captured over 70 referees taking bribes to influence various matches.

According to the source, 2018 Zylofon Cash Premier league is set to return in October together with the Division One league and Women’s competitions.

“The plan is for the season to resume in October and expected to finish by May next year” the source revealed.

“Obviously there will be a criteria to pick the teams to compete in Africa because we will have to enter the names of the representatives when the current league would have been in session,” the source said.

FIFA in consultation with Gog and CAF are expected to set up a Normalisation Committee next week to restructure football in the country.
