The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG) has stated that the disruption in power supply experienced in some parts of the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, is due to the "heavy rainstorm."

ECG in a notice claimed that the heavy rainstorm caused outages within its distribution network.

It noted that its “Engineers are working assiduously to restore power supply to affected customers.”

It urged customers experiencing power outages within their areas to contact its call centre, report to the nearest ECG office or its social media handles.

The power-distributing company emphasised “any convenience caused due to this natural occurrence is very much regretted.”
