Management of Tema General Hospital has refuted reports that a baby died at the facility this week due to power outage (dumsor).

Reports claimed that a three-day-old baby died after two hours of power cut at the Tema General Hospital on Tuesday, March 26.

However, the Hospital's management in a statement dated March 27 said no fatalities were recorded due to the power outage.

"It is worth noting that no lives were lost as a result of this power outage," a statement said.

It noted that power was restored within two by the facility's electricians.

The statement emphasised the hospital's unwavering commitment to prioritizing the health and safety of its patients above all else.

"The Tema General Hospital assures the general public that the Facility will continue to put the health and safety of its patients at the core of its business," the statement concluded.
