A polling agent for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Oodododiodio constituency collapsed at the collation center early Thursday, December 8 shortly after the collation process.
Class FM reported that the agent had been at the collation center since Wednesday evening, watching the collation process vigilantly.
The agent had apparently not had any food for a long while which caused him to faint. The officials of the Electoral Commission and other persons present helped to revive him and offered him some food.
Meanwhile, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, the incumbent parliamentary member for the Odododiodio constituency, retained his seat, polling, 36, 606 votes. His opponent from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nii Lante Bannerman, polled 26, 671 votes.
