The Black Stars have moved on top of Group D after group opponents Mali and Egypt settled in a goalless draw as the first round of group games of the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon ended on Tuesday.

Ghana beat Uganda 1-0 and currently on three points while Egypt and Mali have one point each with Uganda at the bottom of the table with no point.

The Stars would face Mali in their second game on Saturday while Egypt would face off with Uganda in the other group game.

Coach Avram Grant is confident the Black Stars could get another win against Mali to secure a place at the next stage of the competition ahead of their final group game.
