Tottenhman Hotspurs came back from two goals down to rescue a point as they held Manchester City to a 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium.

Dele Alli and Heung-Min Son leveled things up for the visitors after Leroy Sane and Kevin de Bruyne gave Manchester City a two goal lead.

Manchester City were hoping to get their title bid back on track but had to settle with a point as Tottenham Hotspurs got back to share the spoils.

Pep Guardiola's side is still out of the top four and their title ambition is heavily in doubt as they keep on struggling in recent times.

Mauricio Pochettino's side also maintained their unbeaten run and secured their second position on the league table behind Chelsea.

New boy, Gabriel Jesus was introduced into the game and made a huge impression but could not rescue three points for Man City as his goal was disallowed for offside.

Spurs’ goalkeeper Hugo Lloris had a terrible time in goal as he virtually gave away both goals that almost caused his side’s defeat.

Chelsea would stretch their lead to nine points if they win against Hull in Sunday’s game.
