Deputy Minister of Finance, Mona Quartey says she is optimistic the third tranche of the IMF credit facility will be accessed in September.

She noted the delay in sending the state owned enterprise data was the cause of the postponement in the arrival of the credit facility.

“For every review the IMF does with respect to the fund program it goes to their board and once their board have decided on the progress, then a tranche is drawn down to our nation.

“In this case the third review of the fund program, there are 7 reviews the third one was very satisfactory, we met most of the requirements with the conditions we were supposed to meet.”

She added “there were some other requirements in regards to state owned enterprises data and so therefore we have to send which came in late. That data has started going in.”
