Ben Ephson's polls declare Mahama winner of 2016 election

 With less than 10 days into the December 7 general elections in Ghana, the flagbearer of the incumbent National Democratic Congress John Dramani Mahama has been declared win of the 2016 election by pollster Ben Ephson.

According to the pollster, he has conducted six different polls since August this year with latest one as recent as November 16 2016 where all the six different polls John Dramani Mahama has been in the lead with more or less close interval with opposition NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo Addo.

According to pollster Ben Epson, it is first of its kind he has published all the polls conducted before the final one, with the reason being that it will enable Ghanaians have a fair idea of how the various parties have been faring over the last six months.

According to the recent poll by the pollster, John Dramani Mahama accumulated 52.4% which qualifies him to be the president-elect of Ghana according to the 1992 constitution of Ghana which state in article 63 clause 3 that “A person shall not be elected as President of Ghana unless at the presidential election the number of vote cast in his favour is more than fifty percent of the total number of valid votes cast at the election”

Meanwhile the opposition New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer according to the recent poll accumulated 45.9%.
