A speeding vehicle has killed four pupils at Egya No. 2 a suburb of Anomabo, a community along the Cape-Coast-Accra Highway leaving others in a critical condition.
The incident which happened yesterday saw heavy traffic on that stretch when parents of the deceased children block the roads protesting the manner in which vehicles speed on that road.
The parents are asking for speed ramps to avoid such incidents on the road and also the prosecution of the driver. The police were able to calm the parents of the deceased children for the smooth movement of vehicles on the road.

According to Joy FM's report, some of the deceased pupils have already been buried according to the doctrines of Islam. A pupil and other injured passengers are also receiving treatment at the Saltpond government hospital.
The driver will be arraigned before a court today, October 16.
