The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the release of funds to all Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) across the country for the payment of fees related to the 2025 WASSCE practical examinations.
According to a press statement dated July 26, 2025, the funds are intended to ensure that all practical examinations scheduled for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) are fully supported. This includes the provision of required materials and other essential resources.
“The release of the funds seeks to facilitate a smooth and well-coordinated examination process that enables students to focus on their academic work, while relieving parents and guardians of any such financial burden,” the statement read.
GES has urged regional, district, and school authorities to ensure the proper use of the funds for their intended purpose. This, it says, will guarantee efficiency and accountability in the process.
