Ace broadcaster, Kwame Sefa Kayi has disclosed a strong dislike for persons who get appointments to serve in government right after they complete school.

For him, the of lack experience of such people makes it difficult for them to make any meaningful contributions to the governance of the country.

"I have an aversion to people who get into government straight from school. They lack that thing called experience", he said in an extensive interview with Joy FM's Kojo Yankson.

The tenure of former President John Mahama saw arguably the highest number of young people in government.

Though the move to give young ones a chance in government has been commended by some, many have argued that the lack of experience of these appointees contributed in no small way to the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) heavy defeat in the December 7, 2016, elections.

Sharing his thoughts on the state of Ghanaian politics, the Peace FM Kokrokoo Morning Show host who seemed to agree with the latter group stated that with the change of government, such inexperienced hands will likely find themselves in difficulty.

"President Mahama has a warm, great-guy personality, so he will be able to make it in the international community but with his exit, you will find people who will grind to zero because they lack experience", he stated.

According to him, it is not always the case that once one gets a position in government, he or she will become successful and that a person's success after their time in government depends very much on their own qualities.

"Going into government undoubtedly opens up opportunities, but there are different layers. Those who are closer to power will benefit much more and after a government loses power, there are those who will still rise, there are those who will maintain and those who will fall", the award winning broadcaster explained
