The son of late Prof John Evans Atta Mills has lamented the inability of the 37-military hospital to provide to the family of the late President the cause of death. Sam Kofi Mills said it is unfortunate that after all these years, he and his family are still not aware of what caused the death of the late President.
President Prof. Mills died on the 24th of July 2012 but the cause of death has not been officially disclosed in spite of many speculations about the circumstances leading to his demise.

Speaking at a wreath laying ceremony at the Asomdwee Park to mark the fifth anniversary of the death of his father, Sam Mills told journalists that he will support investigations into his father's death because he does not know as at now the outcome of the autopsy conducted after the death of Prof Mills.
A memorial lecture will be held at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration [GIMPA] on July 27 at 3 pm under the theme "5years of ascending into immortality."
