Takoradi Technical University in the Western Region has purchased an ambulance to aid emergency medical cases among students and members of staff.
The Student Representative Council (SRC) funded the over GHS 400,000 ambulance with its medical apparatus and donated it to the school.
The Vice Chancellor of the Takoradi Technical University, Rev. prof. John Frank Eshun said the ambulance will complement the institution’s clinic which will soon be upgraded into a hospital.
The Chancellor said the school is likely to partner with some hospitals in the region to access the ambulance.
The SRC President, James Avevor said the health of the students is paramount, hence the decision with the school’s management team to purchase the ambulance for the school.
