An Activist of the ruling NDC and Actor John Dumelo has cast his vote and as means to justify his activism for the NDC shared a photo of his ballot on social media.

The actor, shortly after casting his ballot , posted a photo of his choice for president, John Dramani Mahama, on Snapchat with the mantra of the ruling NDC.  “I’m voting for peace, stability and economic property [prosperity] #toaso.”

The actor’s action, however, breaches the Electoral Commission’s rules which prevent voters from going into the booth with their bags and purses, pens, food and drinks and mobile phones.

In a press briefing yesterday the EC stated that “No mobile phones, food, pens or drinks will be allowed at the voting area."

This instructions according to the EC is to help guarantee free and credible electioneering process.
