A corrected version of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) flagbearer, Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom was on Tuesday afternoon submitted to the Electoral Commission (EC) by his lawyer, Mr Joseph Ayikoi Otoo.

According to Mr Otoo, they replaced the contentious subscription with two new endorsements.

The EC on October 10, disqualified Dr Nduom and 11 others from contesting the upcoming presidential elections citing various anomalies on their nomination forms which they said contravened the electoral laws of Ghana.

In Dr Nduom's case, the EC stated that one of his subscribers, Richard Aseda had endorsed the forms for two different districts, Jasikan in the Volta Region and Twifo-Hemang in the Central Region.

Not pleased with his disqualification, the PPP flagbearer sued at an Accra High Court where he secured a verdict ordering the Commission to allow him to correct the errors on his form.

The EC headed to the Supreme Court to quash the High Court's ruling but the Supreme Court rather affirmed the High Court's ruling and further ordered the Commission to reopen the nomination period for another day to enable the parties correct their mistakes.

Though the Commission raised over one hundred more concerns with the forms of Dr Nduom, the PPP was able to deal with them and submit before the 5pm deadline.
