President Akufo-Addo has said there are not enough jobs in the state machinery to accommodate all Ghanaians. The government is therefore focusing on strengthening the private sector as the engine of growth and avenue for employment.

According to the President, the creation of job for all  can be a reality if the New Patriotic Party [NPP] is allowed to stay in power for long, to see through policies and intervention being implemented.

Speaking at the NPP National Delegates Conference at the University of Cape Coast in the Central region, the President of the Republic said his government's aim is not to employ all Ghanaians into the public sector. He is rather seeking to create an enabling environment for the private sector to employ the majority of the people.

He maintained the initial efforts seen by Ghanaians are steps to lay a good foundation for sustainable growth to make the economy of Ghana attractive to investors.
