Current Ghana Premier League Champions Aduana Stars have been eliminated from the CAF Champions League qualification round after losing 4-0 to Algerian side ES Setif on Sunday, March 18, 2018.

The Dormaa based side went into the game with a 1-0 advantage from the first leg.

Aduana's failure to score more goals at home came back to haunt them as Setif run riot.

The home side scored in the 26th minute to make it 1-1 on aggregate.

They struck again on the stroke of halftime to make it 2-1 on aggregate.

Aduana pushed for an away goal in the 2nd half but it was Setif that got their third goal in the 61st minute.

ES Setif put the icing on the cake as they scored their 4th goal in the 93rd minute which means they have progressed into the group stages of the competition on a 4-1 aggregate scoreline.

Aduana was Ghana's sole representative in the CAF Champions League.

Aduana however, still have a chance to win a continental trophy as they will now play in the last round of qualifying matches in the Confederations Cup.
