Host Gabon managed another draw with Burkina Faso in the second Group A match played this after in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang secured the point for the host through a penalty in the 38th minute after Prejuce Nakoulma put Burkina Faso ahead in the 23rd minute.

Gabon improved their game after the equalizer in a bid to get another goal before recess but were unable to beat the resolute Burkina Faso defense.

They however came back strongly in the second half and created more chances but were unable to find the back of the net.

Both teams have two points each after two games and the host would be hoping the results of the next game between Cameroon and Guinea Bissau goes in their favour.

However, their qualification to the next stage remains in doubt as their next game would be against Cameroon while Burkina Faso would face Guinea-Bissau.

If Cameroon beats Guinea-Bissau in tonight’s game, then Gabon must beat Cameroon in their last group game and hope Guinea-Bissau would hold their own against Burkina Faso in order to be on the safe side.

The group remains open heading into the last group matches as both Cameroon and Guinea-Bissau have just a point each.
