Ghana has dropped down the ladder in the latest Coca-Cola FIFA World Ranking released on Thursday, September 15th. The Black Stars who occupied the 35th position in the world prior to the new release have dropped to the 43rd position.

In Africa, the Stars were the second best team but are now placed fifth. The draw against the Rwandese senior male football team in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier and a loss to Russia in a friendly match accounted for the slip.

On the global ranking, Argentina is ranked the best football team in the world, followed by Belgium, Germany, Colombia, Brazil, Chile, Portugal, France, Uruguay and Wales.

On the African front, Cote D’ivoire is the foremost super power followed by Algeria, Senegal, Tunisia and Ghana.
