Ghana has overtaken African champions Cote d’Ivoire in the latest FIFA Rankings.
The August ranking released on Thursday saw Ghana move from 36th to 35th in the world ranking and from 3rd to 2nd in Africa.
Algeria remains the continent’s top-ranked side at 32nd with Ivory Coast 3rd in Africa and 36th in the world.
Argentina, Belgium, Colombia, Germany and Chile remain the Top 5 sides in the world while recently crowned European champions Portugal remained 6th with France, Spain, Brazil and Italy in the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th positions respectively.
