Arsenal face the daunting prospect of a trip to Manchester City as they continue to look for their first point of the new Premier League season.

The Gunners were beaten by newly-promoted Brentford on the opening night of the campaign and then found themselves outclassed by Chelsea at the Emirates last Sunday.

A visit to the champions looks like another tough ask but Mikel Arteta’s side can at least be bouyed by a 6-0 thumping of a young West Brom side in the Carabao Cup in midweek.

City have already come unstuck against north London opposition once this season, losing 1-0 at Tottenham in their opener, but they responded by hammering Norwich last weekend.

Man City vs Arsenal is scheduled for a 12:30pm BST (11:30 PM local time) kick-off today, Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Etihad Stadium.

Arsenal were without a host of first-team players for the defeat by Chelsea but should be back closer to full-strength this weekend.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could make his first league start of the season after his hat-trick at the Hawthorns in midweek, while Martin Odegaard is also available after making his first appearance since signing on a permanent transfer from Real Madrid in the same game.

Alexandre Lacazette also came off the bench to score against the Baggies, while Arsenal will check on Bukayo Saka after he took a knock to the knee.

City remain without Phil Foden, while John Stones is still working his way back to full fitness and Kevin de Bruyne remains a doubt.
