Sports Ministry to facilitate return flight of stranded Ghana’s Amputee team

Sports Ministry has hinted in a press release that they will be coming to the aid of Ghana’s Amputee football team, left stranded in Tanzania.

The 'Black Challenge' as they are popularly referred to, defeated their Liberian counterparts 3-2 to win the sixth edition of the Cup of African Nations for Amputee Football.

The Amputee football team edge the likes of Egypt, Nigeria, and Angola en route to the final.

After their achievement however, the team has been unable to purchase a return flight to the Ghana, hence the decision of the Sports Ministry to come to their aid.

The Ministry also revealed via their press statement that, the team failed to inform the sports ministry about their participation in the games.

Furthermore, the Ministry has entreated the National Sports Authority (NSA) to address the current conflict which has engulfed the leadership of the Amputee Football Federation.
