Samson Siasia coach has reacted to the Nigeria squad released for the 2022 World Cup playoff tie against the Black Stars later this month.

The former Nigeria coach is not comfortable with the inclusion of new players for the two games Ghana against their rivals.

He believes the coach will not have enough time to fuse the new players into the team for his side to play in a certain way.

According to him, the squad released on Friday despite containing a lot of stars 'is not right list'

“You need to play people that understand themselves if you bring new ones it becomes difficult for them to understand themselves and play the pattern you want to play,” Siasia told Brila FM.

“For me it’s not the right decision to bring new players, you are better off with the ones you know already that have been playing together and understand themselves because you have three days to practice before you go to Ghana. So for me this is not the right list.”

Nigeria head coach Augustine Eguavoen on Friday named a 25-man squad for the 2022 World Cup playoff tie against the Black Stars later this month.

Ademola Lookman is in line to make his Nigeria debut after being named in the Super Eagles squad.

Also, Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis, who was withdrawn from the squad for this year's Africa Cup of Nations, has also been included by Nigeria coach Augustine Eguavoen.

Elsewhere, strikers Victor Osimhen and Odion Ighalo also return after missing the Nations Cup.

The Super Eagles will travel to Cape Coast for the first leg that holds on March 25 before welcoming the Black Stars to the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja four days later.
