Accra Hearts of Oak’s Managing Director, Vincent Sowah-Odotei could be named Deputy Minister-designate for Youth and Sports by President Nana Akufo- Addo to assist Isaac Asiamah at the sector.
Odotei who contested with Kwesi Nyantekyi about a decade ago for the position of the President of the Ghana Football Association looks favourite to become Ghana’s Deputy Sports Minister.
The experienced football administrator who doubles as the Member of Parliament for La- Dadekotopon would add the new position to his already demanding duties at Hearts and his constituency.
Mr. Sowah-Odotei might be tempted to give away one of his positions when he is officially approved as the Deputy Sports Minister.
However, considering his rich experience in the sports sector and ability to turn the fortunes of Hearts around, the ‘Phobia’ fraternity would like to hold on to him despite other engagements.
It would be a very tough challenge for the legislator combining all three positions but he has proven over the years that he could manage the situation.
