WAFU 2019: Felix Annan benched as Ghana name starting XI to face Gambia

Black Stars B coach Maxwell Konadu has named his starting XI for Ghana's opener against Gambia in the ongoing WAFU 2019 tournament in Senegal as Asante Kotoko captain Felix Annan is starting from the bench.

The head coach has made 5 changes to his starting XI that faced Burkina Faso two weeks ago in the CHAN 2020 qualifier. The changes include Asante Kotoko's quintet of Felix Annan, Habib Mohammed, Justice Blay, Emmanuel Gyamfi and  Augustine Okrah. 

Medeama SC goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi will be in the sticks with Fatawu Mohammed and Moro Ibrahim on the right and left flanks.

Mohammed Alhassan will partner Issaka Mohammed as center backs for the clash.

Benjamin Afutu, Latif Anabila, James Akaminko and Appiah McCarthy complete the midfield four.

Joseph Esso and captain Shafiu Mumuni will be leading the upfront for the team this evening.

Ghana begins her title defence today, October 1 at 5:00 pm.
