World Cup 2022Q: CK Akonnor names Black Stars starting XI to face Ethiopia

Black Stars coach CK Akonnor has named his starting lineup for the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia.

CK Akonnor handed a starting role to Orlando Pirates shot-stopper Richard Ofori, making a return to the team since 2019.

Reading duo Andy Yiadom and Baba Rahman occupy the right back and left back position respectively, with Daniel Amartey partnering Alexander Djiku in defense.

In midfield, the industrious Mubarak Wakaso will partner Baba Iddrissu.

Kamaldeen Sulemana and Jeffrey Schlupp will occupy the right and left-wing position.

Jordan Ayew and skipper Andre Ayew will lead the attack.

The game will be played at the Cape Coast Stadium and will kick off at 19:00 GMT.
