Voting is underway in Kenya as almost 20 million Kenyans elect over 1800 public officials including the president, senators, county governors, members of the national and county assemblies, and women county representatives.
Food security, maternity fees, prosperity, real benefit and cost of living are the main highlights of the incumbent government’s promises to Kenyans.
However, the usual opposition’s rhetoric is not left out of the politics of Kenya, as the National Super Alliance (NASA) which is an alliance of all opposition parties in Kenya have chastised the Kenyatta’s government for being tribalistic, divisive and full of empty promises.
NASA, led by Raila Odinga, the 71-year-old former Prime Minister hope to give a true definition of democracy to Kenyans if given the nod to lead the country. “I am running for president because I think I can make a positive difference in your life.â€
The question is  #kenyadecides2017 will it be "This is my promise. Let's finish the job" - Uhuru Kenyatta OR "Mambo Yabadilika Nane Nane (Change begins on August 8) Join me in choosing a better future for our beloved nation" - Raila Odinga
