It appears that while winners of the 2017 National Science and Maths Quiz were happily jubilating, some unscrupulous persons were also feasting their sight on the  bag of the quiz Mistress.
Soon after the trophy was handed over to the winners on stage, Dr Elsie A. B. Effah Kaufmann’s handbag, black silk in color with red zip vanished into thin air.
The bag is said to contain  valuables including her phone, ID cards, from the University of Ghana, ATM, money, car and apartment keys among other things.
Dr Kaufmann remains a  popular figure who has been able to sit in as the mistress supervising the exercise over the past decade. Her finess, deep insight into questions she asks, and sense of humour lights up the quiz atmosphere much to the delight of the audience and contestants.
Prempeh college beat St Thomas Aquinas Senior High School and Adisadel College in a grueling finale at the National Theatre. Prempeh had 53 points, Aquinas 51 and Adisco 31.
