The National Service Secretariat has warned that plans are underway to prosecute persons who recruit persons who haven't done their service.

Speaking on Accra-based Joy Fm, Executive Director of the National Service Secretariat, Mustapha Yusif added that persons who as well fail to complete the one-year mandatory National Service but are gainfully employed will as well be made to face the full rigours of the law.

"If you are an individual and at the time of graduation of your service you are above 40, the law says you may apply for an exemption and the board sits on the application to either approve your application or not,"

"The enforcement unit will identify such a person and they will be prosecuted as the law prescribes. The institutions that recruit people who haven't done national service it is an offence and it's against the laws of this country," Mustapha Yusif added.
