Black Stars happy with fans support at Tamale, Ugandans to arrive today

The Black Stars arrived in Tamale on Wednesday from Accra ahead of their Friday clash with the Cranes of Uganda in a World Cup Qualifier.

The team after landing in the city went to the Tamale Stadium and had a training session.

Coach Avram Grant expressed joy at the turn out of fans to watch the team saying the atmosphere was good.

Captain Asamoah Gyan stated he was expecting more fans to turn up in their numbers to watch the game on Friday in the World Cup Qualifier to determine which African teams makes it to Russia 2018.

Meanwhile the Stars are expected to train this afternoon at 3pm while their Ugandan counterparts expected to arrive in the city today take their turn to train at the stadium by 4pm.

 

Football fans in Accra and Kumasi have turned a cold shoulder to the team since the Brazil fiasco.
