Deputy General Secretary for the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Anthony Baffoe has revealed the displeasure of the African football governing body with regards to Ghana's 2018 AWCON preparation.

The Deputy General sent a strong warning to the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) to speed up their preparations ahead of the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations.

"I need to be blunt, they are behind if I say they I mean Ghana. They need to step up preparation," the former Black Stars defender told BBC Africa.

The renovation works at the Accra Sports Stadium began midway last year and it is the venue expected to host the tournament.

The 2018 AWCON, hosted by Ghana will kick off on November 14 to December 1.
