Black Stars head coach CK Akonnor has made changes to his starting XI that faced Ethiopia last Friday.

The gaffer has ringed 7 changes ahead of the South Africa clash later today in Johannesburg.

The changes were largely influenced by the absence of six key players who did not make the trip to the Southern African nation as a result of COVID-19 restrictions.

Amiens midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey takes the place of Baba Iddrisu, who has been dropped.

Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed starts at right back in the absence of first choice Andy Yiadom; Gideon Mensah takes Baba Rahman’s place on the left side of defense and Jonathan Mensah replaces Daniel Amartey to partner Alexander Djiku.

Yaw Yeboah and Majeed Ashimeru have also been given starting berths to inject creativity in the team, while Joel Fameyeh has been thrown into attack to replace the absent Jordan Ayew.

The match is scheduled for 4 pm at the FNB Stadium.
