The Tetteh Quarshie Hospital in the Eastern region was the recipient health care unit which attended to nine players of Kpando Heart of Lions, the Volta region based football club when the bus they were travelling on encountered a mishap.
The players were headed for Akyim Tafo to play King Solomon in a Division One League encounter on Thursday thanks to a home ban when their team bus got involved in an accident on the Koforidua-Mamfe road, Wednesday evening.

Thankfully no death was recorded despite 27 players and officials being on the bus. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
