Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu has belittled Kotoko following Sunday's stalemate in the Ghana Premier League outstanding fixture.

The Phobians picked a point against arch rivals Asante Kotoko in 0-0 draw at the Accra Sports stadium on a matchday 7.

Both teams had decent chances to win the game but Richard Atta pulled some amazing saves to keep Hearts of Oak in the game as Asante Kotoko were also saved by the goalpost.

Speaking after the game, Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum said "if you reflect the good thing is that the team didn't drop in performance we rather played better, what I will say is that because of the way we are playing better it gave our opponent the information that they have to step up their game.

I'm sure we can attest to the fact that they have never played this way in the league, I stand for correction though with all due respect to Hearts of Oak."

Samuel Boadu did not hold back in his post-match interview stating that even if he used his junior side Auroras, Kotoko would have been unable to be his outfit.

“This was not one of our best game, our best game of the first round was against Legon Cities, if we had used our junior team( Auroras) against them today, Kotoko can still not score us.”

He believes the Phobians could have carried the day had they taken their chances.

"The players played very well, the chances that we got, it's quiet unfortunate we couldn't score but there is a hope" he said.

The draw means Kotoko are seven points clear at the top of the League log with 37 points – 7 points richer than second placed Bechem United and will head into the second round of the season with a commanding lead.

Hearts of Oak finished the first round with 25 points – 12 points behind their bitterest rivals Kotoko and 7th in the League table.
