Fifa's ethics committee has absolved president Infantino of wrong doing.

The committee after its investigation noted "the benefits enjoyed by Mr. Infantino were not considered improper" adding "conflicts of interest" situation could not be confirmed.

A relived Infantino remarked "would like to thank all those who co-operated with the ethics committee to ensure that the facts were heard and the truth prevailed."

The committee’s report held: "Mr. Infantino's conduct with regard to his contract with Fifa, if at all, constituted internal compliance issues rather than an ethical matter."

Gianni Infantino, 46, became FIFA president in February after Sepp Blatter resigned.

He was investigated regarding his expenses, recruitment and alleged sacking of whistleblowers.
