The Ghana National Women's League week 7 matches will go on as scheduled. This weekend might produce some of the best clashes of the season as current League Champions Ampem Darkoa will play their fiercest rivals Fabulous Ladies.
Ampem Darkoa have recorded a 100% start to the season winning all their 6 matches so far and are comfortably on top of the Northern Zone League table.
Fabulous Ladies are 3rd on the table 8 points behind their opponents.
In the Southern Zone, Police ladies make a short trip to Nungua to play Samaria Ladies, Police who started the season poorly are now improving with two wins on the bounce.
This wins has seen them rise to 4th on the table with their opponent lying 6th.
The Women's League Board after careful deliberations in the course of the week, decided that there is no compelling reason, as requested by some clubs, to postpone the Match Day 7 fixtures of the National Women's League (NWL) scheduled for June 24/25 and ends the first round of the Season 5.
The WLB has, thus, indicated that all NWL matches will be played on Saturday, June 24.
This will enable muslim players who intend to be part of the Eid celebrations to signal the end of the Muslim Ramadan to do so without any distraction and for which some clubs had requested for the postponement.
