The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, (EC) Charlotte Osei has conceded the commission is more conversant with the use of the Biometric Verification Device now than previously.
Speaking today at a forum organised at the International Press Centre by the Editors Forum, Ghana on the theme ‘Election 2016: Innovations, Flashpoints and other challenges’, the Chairperson of the EC said technicians will be deployed in all polling stations to deal with any problem.
“We are more experienced and not sure of any problem because we are used to them, technicians will be deployed at every polling station. There will also be toll free number for officials, observers and electorates for them to be able to communicate any issue to the head office of the EC,†the commission head who doubles as a lawyer rendered.
