The Ghana Police Service has arrested three suspects in Larsi, Odumase-Krobo for possessing 105 bundles of counterfeit US $100 notes discovered in a student’s trunk.
The suspects, Ebenezer Nark-Tsu, George Attor, and Bishop Robert Olertey, were apprehended during an intelligence-led operation by the district police command.
Police sources say one of the suspects allegedly attempted to bribe officers with GH¢200,000 in an effort to avoid arrest after the suspected counterfeit notes were discovered.
However, the officers reportedly rejected the offer and proceeded with the arrest of all three suspects as part of ongoing investigations.
