The Ghana Police Service has arrested Samuel Amadotor, a Ghanaian blogger, for allegedly publishing false information about the former board chair of the National Communication Authority (NCA), Okatakye Boakye Danquah Ababio II.

In a statement issued by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on November 20, 2025, the Police confirmed the arrest, noting that it was carried out “with support from the National Signals Bureau (NSB).”

The police noted that Amadotor “maliciously published false information” about Mr Ababio, prompting an immediate investigation into the matter.

The CID further revealed that the suspect admitted to wrongdoing during interrogation.

“The suspect admitted to the offence and mentioned one Chairman Michael Yeboah as the one who contracted him to make the false publication,” the statement said.

The said Chairman Michael Yeboah is currently being pursued by investigators to assist with the case.

The Police say the suspect remains in custody and will be processed for court on Friday, November 21, 2025.
