The People’s National Convention (PNC) has outdoored their running mate for the upcoming general election, Emmanuel Anyidoho at a ceremony in Accra on Wednesday.

Speaking after his outdooring, Mr Anyidoho blamed the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) for mismanaging the affairs of the country over the past years.

“The managers of Ghana over the past 24 years, I refer to the NDC and NPP, are responsible for the sad state of employment particularly for our young people. It is time for these two parties to own up to their failure", he stated, adding that “the coming PNC government of 2017 will arrest all these misdemeanours through Fiscal discipline.”

According to him, “a further area dear to our hearts is the Energy Deficit and Energy Pricing. We have the panacea for closing the energy deficit, ending 'dumsor,' and producing affordable energy for a comfortable life for the citizenry and as a cheap input into industry to enhance output, employment and incomes.”

“We will work with all stakeholders such as civil society, gender advocates, the media, environmental organisations, the Diaspora, Development Partners, and other Cross-cutting elements to harness our local and international energies for the New Ghana’s Development", he added.

On his part, National Chairman of the party, Bernard Mornah, touted Mr Anyidoho as a man of experience who had seen it all in life. his appointment was based on his ethnic background.

His appointment as running mate, he stated, was going to bring a lot to the party and his ethnic background is also a plus for the party.
