Germany continued their preparations for this summer's Euro 2024 finals with a win over the Netherlands and boost confidence they can challenge on home soil.

Fresh from an impressive 2-0 success in France on Saturday, the Germans sealed a fightback against the Dutch in Frankfurt with Niclas Fullkrug's 85th-minute winner.

The Dutch led through Joey Veerman's fourth-minute volley, before Maximilian Mittelstadt equalised seven minutes later.

Borussia Dortmund striker Fullkrug headed in late as Germany earned back-to-back wins for the first time under boss Julian Nagelsmann.

"The win does us a lot of good," said Nagelsmann, whose team had not won in their previous three matches going into this international break.

"We played well, won possession and we adapted our game in terms of positions a bit."

The Euro 2024 finals will begin on Friday, 14 June at the Allianz Arena in Munich when Germany play Scotland.

The pair are joined in Group A by Hungary and Switzerland.

The Netherlands, who made several changes from their victory over Scotland last week, have been drawn in Group D alongside Poland, Austria and France.

The tournament concludes on Sunday, 14 July, with the final at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
