Gladson Awako 'in no rush' to leave Great Olympics after Medeama and Hearts of Oak interest

Great Olympics midfielder Gladson Awako says he is in rush to leave the club after interest expressed from some Ghana Premier League clubs.

According to him, both Medeama and Hearts of Oak want his services for their next campaign.

Hearts of Oak are in search of players to augment their strong as they bid to make a statement in the CAF Champions League. 

Despite the strong interest, Awako insisted he is not in a rush to leave Olympics but will make the right decision at the right time.

He said he has six months left on his contract which permits him to talk to any club but he is not eager to quit the club.

"I know some teams have expressed interest in me but at the moment, I have six months left on my contract which I want to honour," he told Asempa FM.

"The six months left on my contract permits me to talk to any club I want but I am not in rush to leave the club.

"I know Hearts of Oak and Medeama SC have all expressed interest in me but I will make the right decision at the right time.

"Hearts of Oak are playing in Africa and every player wants to play in the CAF Champions League but the right decision will be made," he added.

Awako bagged four Man-of-the-Match awards and player of the month award once.

He was named in CK Akonnor's squad for Ghana's final two 2020 Africa Cup of Nations [Afcon] qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome.

Awako featured against Sao Tome when he was introduced to the game in the second half.

Meanwhile, Great Olympics finished the season 6th with 52 points.
