Fabio Gama, Gladson Awako out as Emmanuel Agyemang Badu names Ghana Premier League best XI

Former Asante Kotoko defender Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has stuck his neck out to name his 2020/21 Ghana Premier League best XI. 

A number of phenomenal players played the just ended 2020/21 Ghana Premier League and everyone has got an opinion on who his or her best ones are.

There are surprises in the former Kotoko defender's line up, who’s named five Hearts of Oak players, two Asante Kotoko players, three Medeama players and there was a spot for a Karela United player.

Speaking to Pure FM, the defender opted for a 4-3-3 formation, with four defenders, 3 midfielders, and 3 attackers.

He went for Asante Kotoko's shot-stopper Razak Abalora as his safe pair of hands.

Medeama's Samuel Appiah and Hearts of Oak's Raddy Ovuoka were chosen for right and left-back respectively.

Benjamin Afutu who had an impressive season at Hearts of Oak has been tasked to play alongside Medeama duo Rashid Nortey and Richard Boadu.

In attack, Badu named the Phobians duo Salifu Ibrahim on the right, Daniel Afriyie on the left with the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League golden boot winner with 18 goals, Diawisie Taylor (Karela United) to be the arrowhead.

Touching on the exclusion of Kotoko Brazilian midfielder Fabio Gama said "his place has been taken by Ibrahim Salifu."
