Kevin-Prince Boateng faces fine for dedicating goal to Italian quake victims

Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng faces a fine of up to 3,000 Euros by the Spanish Football Federation for dedicating a goal he scored in the Spanish La Liga on Sunday to the victims of the earthquake in Italy.

Boateng who lived in Italy for several years playing for AC Milan, in solidarity with the quake victims, showed a white t-shirt with the inscription 'Forza Italia 27.08.16'  after scoring the first goal in Las Palmas' 5-1 against Granada.

Despite the good intentions, his conduct, according to Calciomercato, violates Article 91 of the Spanish Football Federation Disciplinary Code which states that, "The player who, during achievements or any other cause resulting from the vicissitudes of the game, showing a jersey that makes visible advertising, slogans, acronyms, anagrams or drawings, whatever they are and whatever the content or purpose of ' action will be punished as the perpetrator of a serious offense against co fined up to 3,000 Euros and a warning. "

 

Boateng, who joined Las Palmas on a one-year deal after leaving AC Milan, has scored two goals in his first two matches for the club.
