In somewhat of a shocker, “Spotlight” won even as “The Revenant” and “Mad Max: Fury Road” had more overall Oscars. Best director, considered a showdown between “The Revenant” helmer Alejandro G. Inarritu and “Mad Max: Fury Road” director George Miller, concluded with Inarritu winning for the second year in a row. In the leading acting categories, meanwhile, Leonardo DiCaprio (“The Revenant”) and Brie Larson (“Room”) won, as expected.
