Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale Central and former Minister of Roads and Highways, Inusah Fuseini has described as discriminatory, the appointment of a Minister of Inner Cities and Zongo Development by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

President Akufo-Addo on Thursday announced MP for Madina, Boniface Abubakar Siddique as the Minister pending parliamentary approval.

Though the appointment seems like an obvious fulfilment of the President’s promise to improve the lots of folks in the Zongos and deprived communities, Mr Fuseini strongly disagrees.

Speaking on Joy FM’s Newsfile on Saturday, the Tamale Central MP stated the President’s appointment is “discriminatory”.

According to him, by the appointment, the President was treating people “differently based on their status”.
