GFA Presidency: Kurt Okraku reveals four areas to tackle when elected

Presidential hopeful in the GFA elections Kurt Okraku has revealed the four areas his he will focus on when elected to lead Ghana football.

The football administrator on Tuesday, September 24 unveiled his manifesto at the Auditorium of EximBank Ghana in the presence of the media and several football personalities including SWAG boss Kwabena Yeboah.

Kurt at the launch disclosed that his vision for Ghana football is anchored on four areas.

  • Rebuilding trust and restoring the image and reputation
  • Utilization of best practices in good corporate governance
  • Uniting the football family on shared values of transparency,
  • Promotion of gender equity

Kurt Okraku further announced a nine-man campaign team to aid him to win the country's football top seat. The names included Aduana Stars managing director Albert Commey who has earlier revealed that he will be disappointed if the football administrators do not contest because he is the best man for the job.

My campaign team members are: "Albert Commey, Jones Abu Alhassan, Michael Osekere, Oduro Sarfo, John Ansah, Tawiah Apor, Mohammed juji Alifoe, Cliff Iddris and Samuel Aboabre." 

Attending the event was another GFA aspirant George Afriyie who honoured the invite to grace Kurt's manifesto launched.

The vetting of aspirants for the GFA elections starts on September 26 - October 1 while the presidential election is slated for October 25 as the winner will be replacing former capo Kwesi Nyantakyi who was banned from all football-related activities following the airing of the "Number 12" documentary.
